polyvore set here
My boyfriend, James, turns 24 today. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he said some high quality liquor, but specifically a single-malt scotch. Knowing next to nothing about whiskey (I prefer vodka or tequila), I did some research. I found that good scotch, especially good single-malt scotch, gets expensive really fast. I think I found a good balance between price and quality with the Balvenie that a mutual friend of ours recommended.
My search on Amazon led me to the books above, and having done a quick read-through of Bitters, gave a shout-out to two of the most famous bitters around.
I think my present of gin, scotch, and a book on bitters earns me at least a nomination for awesome girlfriend, don't you think? :)
Happy weekend!

Yes it does! Don't forgot the awesome giant scotch rocks (ice for the uninitiated) that you got and I just used in my drink!
