bag love

bag love #4

here

Clearly, the only thing I'm questioning about this bag is which size I should go for. ;).

I've wanted a bag/clutch that had an element of PVC/clear material in it but that a) didn't cost an arm and a leg and b) wasn't so trendy that I wouldn't dare wear it when this season of PVC-madness goes away. It's got enough classic features - the structure, the substantial hardware - to make this bag less kitsch and more a twist on a classic. I love the color, and I'm a fan of Marc by Marc Jacobs purses - not too expensive for great quality and style. Definitely a contender for my spring/summer bag.

Would you wear a clear bag? Which of the two above would you pick? I'd love to know!

I'm super happy about Coach's comeback. They've gone back to sleek designs in their signature leather. They've just released a whole new collection for spring, and this satchel is calling out to me. It comes in 5 colors and a perforated version, but I'd pick the yellow.

Psst! For all you in need of a last-minute Valentine's gift, see above. ;) Happy Valentine's Day!

Which would you choose?

I love a great minimalistic tote in rich, supple leather, and I love it even more when it comes with just a slight touch of edge - like these rose gold metal corners on this Alexander Wang tote. Super clean but super rock and roll, all in one. What's not to love?

Another new feature on Thursdays: bag love. I'm seriously loving the new Tartine Satchel from J. Crew, especially in the colorblock. It's roomy yet sleek, and comes with a detachable zipper pouch and a shoulder strap. I think it's trying to channel the same concept as Celine's trapeze bags but with less exaggerated "wings". Plus, for $325, it's a lot easier on the budget.

Will you go budget friendly or bust?
